About Jan Bernardini Law

Jan Bernardini is the principal in the law firm of Jan Bernardini Law, specializing in the areas of estate planning (wills & trusts), trust & probate administration, guardianships/conservatorships, and charitable gifts. Prior to practicing law, Jan earned a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. from De Paul University and worked in the areas of banking and management. Jan graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in 1994 ; thereafter, she clerked for the Presiding Probate Judge in Pima County, Arizona. She has been in private practice since 1996, recently returning to her practice after an interlude as the Associate Director of Gift Planning at the University of Arizona Foundation.

Jan is a member of the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council, the State of Arizona and Pima County Bar Associations, and the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern Arizona. She has served as the chair person for the Probate & Trust Council Section of the State Bar (2006-07). Jan is the Past President of the Executive Women’s Council; she was honored as a YWCA “Woman on the Move” for 2000; and was the President of the Arizona Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys for the year 2002/2003. She also serves on the Editorial Board for The Writ, a publication for attorneys in Pima County. Jan volunteers as an elder law advocacy volunteer for the Pima County Council on Aging.
